Based in the heart of Malta, we are a grassroots activist group dedicated to championing good governance, democracy, and the rule of law. Founded in response to pressing challenges facing our nation, Civil Society Network has grown into a powerful voice for citizens who believe in transparency, accountability, and justice.

The Civil Society Network took root in 2016, sparked by the Panama Papers revelations uncovered by investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. Her horrific assassination in October 2017 galvanized our mission, inspiring us to mobilize thousands of Maltese citizens in the pursuit of systemic change. From our first national demonstration in Valletta to ongoing calls for reform, we’ve been at the forefront of advocating for a fairer, more democratic Malta.

At Civil Society Network, we believe that change begins with the people. We organise protests, rallies, and public campaigns to shine a light on issues like corruption, institutional failures, and threats to citizens’ rights. Some of our key efforts include:

• Demanding justice for Daphne Caruana Galizia and pushing for independent public inquiries.
• Advocating for reforms in governance, such as stronger checks and balances for appointing key officials.
• Protecting public health & safety, from construction sector accountability to transparency during COVID-19.

Our work is driven by a commitment to non-partisanship. We welcome all citizens to join us while ensuring our platform remains free from political agendas—politicians are invited to listen, not lead.

With over 40,000 supporters on social media and a growing presence in Malta’s civic landscape, Civil Society Network has become a vital force for change. We’ve filled a gap where traditional structures have faltered, empowering young activists and everyday citizens alike to demand a better future.
